Terms of Service · Last updated 6 August 2026
What you're buying, how orders work, and where our service starts and stops. Plain language. No buried fine print.
Who you’re dealing with
BuildScore™ is the customer-facing trading identity. The underlying legal entity is Audrey’s Collective Pty Ltd (ACN 672 304 880, ABN 53 672 304 880), an Australian private company. BuildScore™ is a registered business name of Audrey’s Collective Pty Ltd.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of buildscore.com.au and your purchase of a BuildScore™ report. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t place an order. In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Audrey’s Collective Pty Ltd trading as BuildScore™.
What you’re buying
A BuildScore™ report scores the builder quotes or tenders you upload against general industry benchmarks across five categories and presents the result as a PDF. It is an independent information and comparison service.
We show. We never tell. We do not recommend a builder, rank one builder as “the best”, interpret your contract, or give you financial, legal, or building advice. The report exists to help you ask better questions and decide for yourself, with qualified professionals, before you sign.
What's included
A PDF report scoring either two or three builder quotes or tenders: category scores, a side-by-side comparison, a decision framework, and things to clarify before you sign.
What's not included
No builder recommendation, no contract interpretation, no financial or legal advice, and no ongoing support beyond report delivery.
Orders and payment
Delivery and use of your report
Delivery
We aim to deliver your PDF report by email within 48 hours (business days) of a complete submission. If we expect a delay, we'll let you know.
Your licence
Your report is for your own personal use in assessing your build. You may share it with your own conveyancer, solicitor, or advisor. Your report and its scores are for your private use. Please don't publish them, post them publicly, or use them in advertising without our written permission.
Our intellectual property
The BuildScore™ name, methodology, scoring framework, report format, and website content are our intellectual property. Please don't resell, republish, or commercialise them.
Acceptable use
Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, and don't use the service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights. Don't use automated tools, scraping, or AI systems to extract, copy, or derive material from this website or from BuildScore™ reports, and don't use our content or scores to build or train a competing comparison.
Disclaimer
BuildScore™ is an independent information and comparison service. Reports are based on general industry data and analysis. Not financial, legal or building advice. Always engage qualified professionals before signing any contract.
BuildScore™ scores quotes and tenders against industry benchmarks. We do not provide recommendations, advice, or contract interpretation. Decisions you make about your builder, your contract, or your finances are your own, and you should confirm anything that matters to you with a suitably qualified professional.
Your report scores the documents you upload against general industry benchmarks. We work to keep our benchmarks current, but we don’t guarantee they’re complete, error-free, or right for every situation, and market conditions change. Your report reflects your documents and our benchmarks at the date it’s delivered, and we have no obligation to update it after delivery.
Your report is produced from the documents and information you submit, without a site inspection, without contact with any builder, and without verifying your documents against the builder. The scores are a comparison and scoring of the documents you provide, not an assessment of any builder or business.
Reports and pages may link to third-party websites, such as a builder’s public listing or a review site. We don’t control, verify, or endorse anything on those sites, and what they show can change at any time. Following a link takes you to a service run by someone else, and your use of it is subject to their terms and their privacy policy, not ours.
Your consumer rights and our liability
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including a guarantee that services are provided with due care and skill and are fit for any purpose we’ve told you about. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for those guarantees, our total liability to you for any claim connected with your order is limited to re-supplying the report or refunding the amount you paid for it. We aren’t liable for the building, contract, or financial decisions you make after reading your report. Those remain yours.
For how refunds work, see our Refund Policy.
Consumer law compliance
Unfair contract terms. These Terms are a standard form consumer contract. We have prepared them to comply with the unfair contract terms provisions of the Australian Consumer Law (Part 2-3 of Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). If you believe any term is unfair, contact us at reports@buildscore.com.au. You may also contact the ACCC or your state or territory consumer protection agency.
Upcoming consumer law changes. The Competition and Consumer Amendment (Unfair Trading Practices) Act 2026 (Cth) passed Parliament on 2 July 2026 and commences 1 July 2027. It introduces a general prohibition on unfair trading practices and drip-pricing disclosure requirements. We will review and update these Terms before 1 July 2027 to ensure continued compliance.
